Ultromics named a WIRED 2025 Trailblazer

Oxford, UK, September 11, 2025 - Ultromics is proud to be named a Wired 2025 Trailblazer, spotlighting our role in shaping the future of healthcare innovation. The Trailblazers scheme, delivered in partnership with HSBC UK, shines a spotlight on a small number of fast-growing scale-ups across the UK that are driving innovation and spearheading positive change for patients, communities, and society.

The announcement was made today at the WIRED Trailblazer event at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, where Ultromics was represented by our COO, Amir Hasan.

At Ultromics, we are tackling one of the biggest challenges in global health: heart failure. Millions of people are still living with undiagnosed heart disease, often only discovered once it is too late for effective treatment. This silent crisis is placing a growing strain on patients, families, and healthcare systems worldwide.

Amir Hasan, COO of Ultromics, said: “We are honoured to be recognised as a WIRED Trailblazer for 2025. Heart failure is one of the most urgent healthcare challenges of our time, yet                 millions remain undiagnosed or only detected once the disease is already advanced. At Ultromics, our mission is to close that diagnostic gap by detecting disease earlier to enable earlier intervention. Our flagship technology, EchoGo®, the first FDA-cleared and Medicare-reimbursed AI platform that analyses simple, routine heart scans and provides diagnostic insights within minutes at the point of care.”

This year has marked an exciting period of growth for Ultromics. We launched our second product, EchoGo® Amyloidosis, processed more than 400,000 cases worldwide, and saw our landmark studies cited in leading government association guidelines. We also deepened collaborations with some of the world’s most forward-looking healthcare organisations, including Mayo Clinic, Northwestern Medicine, and University Hospitals Cleveland. With this momentum, EchoGo® is delivering breakthrough clinical performance and is helping redefine how heart disease is detected and treated.

Launched in 2022, the WIRED Trailblazer programme has recognised more than 250 scale-ups across the UK that are harnessing innovation to tackle today’s most urgent challenges. Previous winners include ZOE, BOXT, and Aardman.

Joining the WIRED 2025 Trailblazer cohort underscores Ultromics' pioneering role in healthcare innovation. By  pushing the boundaries of diagnostics and AI, we are transforming outcomes and empowering patients in the fight against the global heart failure crisis.
