Job Purpose

Highly experienced IT Administrator required to join our Operation team to provide IT support to colleagues and clients. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills, be passionate about technology and helping people. We support Macs and PCs, printers and network hardware. Liaising with external IT support to resolve internal and client IT issues. Knowledge of a clinical service environment would be an advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd line service desk escalations through tickets, phone, instant message etc.
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of new starter process
  • Procure software and hardware via company procurement processes.
  • Develop and evolve processes to improve department efficiency
  • Carry out regular audits of processes to look for developments/improvements
  • Carry out/assist with audits for ISMS/Cyber Essentials/ISO27001
  • Support of clinical diagnosis environment to end users/operators  
  • Liaise with internal development team and external support to resolve client issues 
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms 
  • Monitor and manage internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Support the Information Security with information security implementation 
  • Mentor other team members to share knowledge/increase skillset across the team 
  • Follow good information governance practice throughout this job role and ensure compliance with Ultromics' information security and data protection policies in all applicable assigned tasks

Person Specification 

Education/Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above

Desirable:

  • Microsoft qualifications (MCSA/MCSE or equivalent experience)
