Job Purpose

The primary role of the Clinical Application Specialist is to be a champion of the Ultromics products to internal and external stakeholders and an expert clinical application resource. Based in the commercial team, you will support the UK Sales Leader and the Clinical Product team, assisting with clinical messaging, driving pre-sales discussions with potential clinical customers such as Cardiologists and Cardiac Physiologists. As the Clinical Application Specialist you will provide demonstrations and postsales installation assistance to customers, engage in feedback and product improvement discussions that are based on the clinical practice. You will prepare and present clinical content and workflow, application configuration requirements, clinical assessment of reports and findings. Additional support may include educational programs to both internal and external stakeholders, international sales and validation tasks.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analysis of customer needs and objectives
  • Frequent interaction with physicians, primarily Cardiologists, IT staff, cardiac physiologists and various other Cardiology department healthcare staff
  • Demonstrate and explain the concept of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) EchoGo product and services
  • Ability to relay the clinical value of the EchoGo product line with confidence to healthcare providers
  • Maintain knowledge in current Echocardiography practices and literature.
  • Maintain knowledge in the business directives and integration of our products from a clinical and sales perspective.
  • Effectively demonstrate platform solutions from a clinical and sales perspective.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Applications and Product Management on various clinical applications activities for commercial product support and product research and development support.
  • Work closely with Sales and Technical support staff for understanding of application configuration and application deployment.
  • Assist marketing/sales in the follow up of implementation and feedback activities.
  • Manage key customer accounts as assigned by Clinical Applications or Director of Sales.
  • Maintaining optimal customer satisfaction, quality control monitoring and resolution.
  • Post-sales and marketing messaging assistance.
  • Application support at trade shows.

Person Specification



  • Included in the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists.
  • BSE TTE Accreditation (or equivalent).

  • Expert knowledge of clinical adult Echocardiography with experience in left ventricular myocardial strain imaging, stress echocardiography, contrast.

  • Significant clinical experience in adult echocardiography, preferably in a variety of clinical settings and lab sizes.
  • Experience of various disease subsets such as, coronary artery disease, cardio-oncology, heart failure, cardiac amyloid, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and valvular heart disease.
  • Experience in Echocardiography information technology software with an expert understanding of clinical Echocardiography lab administration, logistics, workflow, and operational concepts.


  • Experience in advanced strain imaging, regional LV strain, LA/RV strain, 3-D strain, and/or paediatrics.
